Coconut Shell Powders

This natural powder is available in different particle size distributions. The advantages of Coconut Shell Powder compared to other wood pulps/powders are the extremely low density and excellent binding properties with phenolic resin. 

In friction material formulations this product provides an increased elasticity of the phenolic resin. It also makes the surface of the pad more porous, as the Coconut Shell Powder burns out during scorching and/or braking, which in turn usually leads to a noise reduction.
