Antimony Trisulfide

Antimony Trisulfide (Sb₂S₃) is refined from the natural crystalline minerals stibnite and meta-stibnite. Our Antimony Trisulfide standard grades are available with antimony contents between 65% and 70%. 

It is widely used as a lubricant for brake linings, brake pads and clutch facings and improves their friction stability. 

It is also used as a fuel source to increase the sensitivity of pyrotechnic flash powder, in the production of ruby-colored glass, in plastics as a flame retardant and for the production of semiconductors.
